Monday after the floods

9/16 - A lot of Colorado isn’t going to school this morning. Roads are washed out. Streams have completely changed their paths. Thousands of people are unable to go home, if they even have one left. The little creek I cross every morning has grass completely flattened on the right bank and a line on the concrete about 2 or 3 feet above the ground. I’m feeling prepared for classes and blessed that I seem to be in one of the few places not carried away by crashing, speeding water.
